DB2WSE System Requirements

• DB2WSE was created on an IBM i (AS/400, iSeries, System i) running V5R3M0 of OS/400, but has been compiled to run at all releases from V5R1M0 onwards.

• DB2WSE requires the Apache HTTP Server, which is typically installed as part of the base i5/OS Operating System - 5722DG1

• DB2WSE does not require any separately licensable components of i5/OS, nor does it require any 3rd-party software.

• DB2WSE does not require that an Application Server be installed.

• DB2WSE is written entirely in RPGIV, CLLE and C. DB2WSE does not use Java, although it can be used by applications written in Java.
